Through popular demand, Manteca has now secured a permanent site after running a successful pop-up, formerly known as 10 Heddon Street (Mayfair). The brains behind their new concept come from its creators Chris Leach and David Carter, best known as ‘meat men’. Whilst Carter is behind the famous Smokestak in Shoreditch, Leach has come from Sager+Wilde and worked at the well-known Pitt Cue Co and Kitty Fisher’s before this.
Their new site is based in Soho and features flavours inspired by Carter's butchery and charcuterie skills, combined with the regional cooking styles Leach encountered on his travels through Italy and food scenes he experienced in LA and New York. The menu features various small plate options, which was inspired by their love of sharing food with friends and family. A few of the dishes on their Sample Menu include Mushroom Ravioli, Tonnarelli (brown Crab) and smoked cod roe, alongside a selection of mouth-watering desserts. Larger plates are also on offer and feature various meat dishes.
The restaurant opened its doors at the end of last year and takes online bookings for up to 8 people.
Our team is excited to head down to Soho to try the mouth-watering pasta and flavours that Manteca has to offer!
