If you enjoy exploring new places and savouring exquisite cuisines, we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite restaurants. We’re sharing a few of our best kept secrets from our little black book of luxury dining experiences in London.
Socca Bistro
At the top of our hot list is Socca which has been co-founded by Samyukta Nair and Claude Bosi on South Audley Street in Mayfair. This picturesque street is moments away from Park Lane, Mount Street and Bond Street, making it an enviable location, perfect for people watching. The menu honours nostalgic French-Mediterranean culinary traditions where you can expect Joséphine Oysters with Shallot Vinegar, Snails a la Sétoise with Garlic and Orange, Saffron & Almond Butter, Pappardelle with New Season Black Truffle, Grilled Tiger Prawns and Citrus Butter, Steak Maitre D’Hotel Butter and White Park Rib Eye. We recommend Claude’s Provençal Beef Cheeks with Sand Carrots and we’ll meet you at the bar!
Sabor
Sabor on 35-37 Heddon Street is the best dining experience we’ve had for a very long time! We recommend the exquisite octopus dish from this Michelin star Spanish restaurant. Sabor (meaning flavour) was opened in 2018 by Nieves Barragan and José Etura. Heddon Street is just off London’s iconic Regent Street, famous for the curved street and prestigious shops. This street is also connected to David Bowie as the cover of the ‘Ziggy Stardust' album was shot as number 23.
Pied a Terre
Pied à Terre is one of our top recommendations which opened in 1991 and is one of London’s longest standing Michelin star restaurants. Situated on Charlotte Street in Fitzrovia, this location is full of cute eateries plus luxury florist Goode Flowers and contemporary boutique Charlotte Street Hotel. Executive Chef is Asimakis Chaniotis who cooks up classic French cuisine with a nod to his Greek heritage. If you’re looking for vegan dishes, then this is the place for you as their special menu has picked up top awards.
Bar Kroketa
We all know that the best dish to order in a Spanish restaurant is always the croquetas. Well this restaurant has croquetas at its core. Bar Kroketa is a lively restaurant based in Soho on Beak Street. It is super cosy where you can perch at the counter of this lively restaurant. You’ll be pleased to know that the dishes change frequently so you can enjoy a few different croqueta based dishes every time! We're also excited that Restaurant Property have been retained now to find them new sites, so watch this space!
Bancone
If you’re a pasta lover, then the best seat in London town is in Bancone. This award-winning fresh pasta is made by hand everyday from their locations in Covent Garden on William Street and Golden Square on Lower James Street. The pasta dishes includes silk handkerchiefs, walnut butter, confit egg yolk and Pea & ricotta ravioli, courgette, fresh yeast. This award winning restaurant has a magnificent olive tree in the middle of the diners which adds a unique touch to the Italian inspired space.
Beast
This high end restaurant is in Marylebone, just around the corner from Oxford Circus so perfectly placed for a post shopping trip experience. Beast claims to have the best surf and turf in London and we have to agree! The tasting menu includes Norwegian King Crab served with Lemon & Garlic Butter and Peak District Steak on the Bone served with Truffle Sauce, Truffle Chips & Seasonal Salad.
Isabel
If you’re looking for a restaurant with stunning interiors, Isabel is the one for you. It opened back in 2017 on Albemarle Street in Mayfair and the beautiful building dates back to 1905. The interior is glamorous and decadent which is the perfect place to enjoy their signature cocktails. The menu includes Grilled octopus with avocado cream, gold kiwi vinaigrette and smoked paprika and Dover sole fillets with lemon emulsion and capers.
